Need Wisdom and Direction?

This is the 'Formula'

Proverbs 2:1-11

My child, listen to what I say,
     and treasure My commands.
2  Tune your ears to wisdom,
     and concentrate on understanding.
3  Cry out for insight,
     and ask for understanding.
4  Search for them as you would for silver;
     seek them like hidden treasures.
5  Then you will understand what it means to
fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge
    of God.
6  For the Lord grants wisdom! From His
    mouth come knowledge and
    understanding.
7  He grants a treasure of common sense to
the honest. He is a shield to those who
    walk with integrity.
8  He guards the paths of the just and
protects those who are faithful to Him.
9   Then you will understand what is right, just,
and fair, and you will find the right way to
     go.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and
knowledge will fill you with joy.
11 Wise choices will watch over you.
     Understanding will keep you safe.

Father, like the above scriptures suggest, help us to seek wisdom and understanding. And as we do, may we just know what to do. In Jesus' name, amen 🙏.

Which Way? ➡️ ⬅️ ⬆️ ⬇️

To You, O lord, I lift up my soul. I trust in You, my God. Do not let me be put to shame, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat. No one who trusts in You will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. Show me the path where I should walk, O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You. The Lord is good and does what is right; He shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in what is right, teaching them His way. The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all those who keep His covenant and obey His decrees. For the honor of Your name, O Lord, forgive my many, many sins. Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose. They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the Promised Land. May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in You. Psalm 25:1-5, 8-13, 21

Right or left? Up or down? When you don't know where to turn, turn to God.

Commit decisions to God. Make it a matter of regular prayer, asking Him to guide you and make His will known to you.

Spend time in God’s Word. Read a chapter or two and stand in faith, believing that God will give you the revelation you need. Slow down, listen and tune in to what the Holy Spirit may be saying to you.

Trust God's leading, and believe He goes before you – for He does.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

God loves you, and He wants you to know His will. Seek it . . . discover it . . . and then do it. His way is always best.

                              - - - - - -

Abba Father, show us which way to go. Help us to be lead forth by Your Word and Your peace. Order our steps by Your Holy Spirit, let Your word guide our choices, and let us not go ahead of You. Thank You that You are not a God of confusion, but a God of peace. Guide us and give us peace with the decisions we should make. If something is not from You, let us know. Close doors that need to be closed, and open those that need to be opened - and give us faith and grace to walk through them. We humbly ask for Your guidance and direction as we go through life. In Jesus' name, amen 🙏.

Got a Flashlight?

The Lord is the calm to your storm. Set your gaze on Him.

The Lord will bring rest and peace to your soul. Set your affection on Him.

The Lord is the light to the steps that you need to take next.

Father, may we seek You and Your will through Your Word. May it direct our steps and light our path like a flashlight. In Jesus' name, amen.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Let the Lord's people show Him reverence,
for those who honor Him will have all they
need. Those who trust in the Lord will never
lack any good thing.
Psalm 34:9,10

Fear God. That's a biblical concept that's often misunderstood. It doesn't mean that we should be afraid of God. It doesn't mean that we shouldn't develop a personal relationship with the Lord. But it does mean that we should respect Him, reverence Him, and be infinitely more concerned with fulfilling the Law of God than just doing whatever we want to do or trying to please others.

Happy are those who respect the Lord and obey Him. You will enjoy what you work for, and you will be blessed with good things. Psalm 128:1,2

If we live with a reverence and respect for the Lord, the biblical fear of the Lord, then we don't have to be afraid of anything. Sometimes, we just need to be quiet and listen. It's usually in the stillness that the Holy Spirit speaks words of comfort and direction. Fear the Lord and don't be afraid of anything.

The Bible says, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!'" (Psalm 91:1-3,7).

Somehow being in the Lord's presence just makes everything okay. When you're in the presence of the Lord, you have NOTHING to fear. The power of the presence of God will take away all despair and doubt as you fellowship with Him.

You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. Psalm 16:11

It doesn't matter if you're going through the flood or the fire, because you know God is with you. As long as you feel His arms around you, everything's all right.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

Respect your Father.

Father, help us to respect and revere You. Help us to not be afraid. Bless our lives with all that we need. In Jesus' name, amen.
